State-of-the-art virtual drum and percussion lessons for students of all ages — from beginners just picking up sticks, to seasoned players sharpening their craft. Multi-camera setup, structured curriculum, and recorded sessions for review between lessons.
Drop your email or phone below and I'll reach out within 24 hours. No commitment — just a quick conversation about your goals.

I'm Eliott Bryson, a percussionist and instructor with 20+ years of playing experience across drum set, marching snare, and hand percussion. I started on the line in high school and have kept playing across ensembles and styles ever since.
Alongside music, I've built a 12+ year career in capital markets finance. That dual background matters; for parents of younger students, it means your child is learning from someone who takes discipline, structure, and professional habits seriously, and who can be a role model beyond the drum kit. Ask me about balancing music with school, thinking about college and careers, or navigating the working world. I've done both, and I'm happy to be a resource.
My teaching philosophy comes down to two things: professional form and fun practice. Clean technique is what carries you from your first stick grip to the moments that matter; but if practice feels like a chore, you'll never put in the reps. Whether you're a middle schooler learning your first paradiddle or an adult picking drumming back up as a hobby, I help students build habits they actually want to come back to.
For families of younger students: I maintain an active Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts — the state's official background verification process for anyone working with minors. Report available upon request.
Great virtual lessons don't happen by accident. Every session is designed around three pillars that make remote instruction actually work.
Your hands, your grip, your form — all captured in high definition. My studio setup gives you angles a single webcam can't, so I catch what needs correcting the moment it happens.
No two students are the same, but progress isn't random. Every lesson builds on the last with a clear plan for what you're working on, why, and where it's taking you.
Every lesson is recorded and shared with you afterward. Practice with the recording, catch details you missed live, and revisit the material as often as you need between sessions.
Technique breakdowns, exercise demos, and lessons from a lifetime of playing — all on the Bryson Instruction YouTube channel.
A few simple ground rules so we can both focus on the music.
Lessons require 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule without penalty. Use the link in your booking confirmation email to reschedule any time before that window.
Late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable, but every student receives one makeup lesson per package — life happens, and I'd rather you reschedule than skip practice entirely.
Rates and payment details are shared upon inquiry. Single lessons and packages are typically paid at the time of booking once we've confirmed the right fit.
Package lessons are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Unused lessons after that period expire.
Lessons happen over Zoom. For the best experience, you'll need a stable internet connection, a practice pad or drum set, and a device with a working camera and microphone.
Ideally a second device (phone on a stand) pointing at your hands, so I can see your grip and form clearly. I'll send setup tips before your first lesson.
Parents and guardians are welcome to sit in on any lesson. For students under 14, I encourage at least the first lesson be observed so you understand the practice expectations.
All lesson booking and communication for minors should be handled by a parent or guardian.
Every lesson is recorded and shared with you via a private link within 24 hours. Recordings are yours to keep and review.
Recordings are stored privately and never shared publicly or used for anything other than your own review.
If technical problems interrupt a lesson (internet drops, audio failure, etc.) that make continuing impractical, we'll reschedule at no charge regardless of the 24-hour window.
Small hiccups (brief lag, quick reconnect) don't count — those happen to everyone and we work through them together.
For lesson inquiries, gig bookings, or clinic requests — drop a note and I'll get back within 24 hours.
